UAE-Pakistan flights short; Return airfare starts at Dh1,300 – News

Several flights have been canceled by United Arab Emirates carriers from May 5 to May 20.

Although many Pakistani expatriates in the United Arab Emirates have halted travel plans, there are many affordable options available for those wishing to travel to Pakistan to spend Eid al-Fitr with their families.

Tickets to Pakistan from the United Arab Emirates are still available for Lahore as low as Dh1,300 (return fare) on Pakistani carrier airplanes in the coming weekend. The fare becomes cheaper if passengers opt for 20 kg baggage allowance instead of 40 kg.

Similarly, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has seats available for various Pakistani cities at competitive rates.

Following the Government of Pakistan’s decision to reduce international inbound flights by 80 per cent, several flights have been canceled by UAE planes from 5 to 20 May.

A customer service representative of Emirates Airline told Khaleej Times that May 16 in Lahore is the next available date for the flight after Eid.

Similarly, the Etihad Airways website showed seat availability on the Abu Dhabi-Lahore route for 6, 11 May, with Dh’s ticket costing 5,790, while the next available flight is on 17 May.

    Booking or return

Regarding canceled flights, Emirates has stated that all tickets issued from 1 April 2021 will be automatically valid for travel for 24 months. Within that time, a passenger has the flexibility to change the dates and return the money at no additional cost.

If the ticket is booked on or after April 1, 2021, the passenger can convert it to the same travel class in the same area and for no additional charge.

Similarly, passengers purchasing tickets on a budget carrier flyby can rebook for a later date or claim a refund through their website. For travel agent booking, customers have to contact their travel agent directly.

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways offers its passengers three options – rebook it for another date, leave the tickets open by the end of September and book some other dates and claim Etihad Travel Bank, which will be the next two. Valid for years.

Passengers will get the ticket price in the form of credit and also get bonus miles. Passengers can also claim a refund in the event of a flight cancellation.
