According to the results of the independent Levada Center survey, 17 percent of the respondents addressed the name of Vladimir Putin’s state as the most memorable event of April 2021.
This was followed by reports about jailed opposition politician Alexei Navalny and rallies in his support (10 percent), military growth in eastern Ukraine and Russian military exercises near the border (9 percent), and deteriorating relations with the United States. Europe (8 percent). Remarkably, 34 percent of respondents said that there were no memorable events in the past month.
The Levada Center conducted its survey from April 22 to 28, 2021, through an in-person interview with 1,614 respondents at age 18 from 137 cities and cities from 50 regions of Russia.
